The year was 1924 in Orange County California. The Vanleeuwen family, our great grandfather Jacob and Anna with most of their 9 children, stepped off a train from a 2 week journey from Ellis Island and a long ship ride from holland before that! They stepped onto Sputhern California  fertile soil. The perfect soil and weather for growing grass and milking cows. They were met by their host family, the Van Dams, Who's daughter became our grandmother. As they started working by what they knew, milking cows, our grandparents Arie and Margie got married and brought their own herd of 10 cows. So what would would you smell in 1924 on a dutch family farm in Orange County? Sweet orange blossoms from orchards. Fresh cut grass from cows grazing and fresh brewed coffee (Dutchemen love their coffee). These are aromas from 100 years ago that is our family heritage.
