O.G. Pomade Medium

Many of our bearded friends with head hair (not the case for the Van Leeuwen Bros) were using our beard balm as a pomade. It worked so well that we decided to make this high quality all natural product available to the lucky people with head hair.

I was literally sitting at my workstation with the pressure of making our first and hopefully signature scent. What is a scent that is most loved around the world? This thought brought me back to a great uncle who was born in Holland, he always said that the orange is the perfect fruit. The aroma is shared with everyone in the room as soon as it’s peeled. And is naturally set up for sharing with individual slices. 

So sweet Orange was it! Now what to blend with it?

Looking at my small essential oil selection, my eyes went to clove bud, it is an old time scent and brought me back to the 1980's with the popularity of clove cigarettes.

Use: Strenghten and style your hair and scalp

Ingredients: Lanolin, Beeswax, Coco Butter, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Castor Oil, Vitamin E Oil.

Our Pomades:

Our old fashion pomade has two holds, light and medium hold. This is an oil based pomade that gives you the slick gloss look like in black and white movies of the 1930s. This look will last all day, and some cases a few days. An advantage of our pomade is you can restyle your hair as often as you like without losing hold or shine. There is no water, alcohol, petroleum or any chemicals that sound scary to put in your hair. Our pomade will actually impove the over all health of your hair. These are the same ingredients that keep beards soft and prevent hair breakage.

How To Use:

Oil based pomade can be applied to damp or dry hair, the recommendation is damp hair so to lock in that moisture your hair needs. A little goes a long way here, start with small pea sized amount and rub between your hands until the pomade is warm and fully melted, throughly rub into the hair. Reapply as needed. As the pomade cools down it will set up and hold. This cool down may take a few minutes. So go ahead and give yourself the "Cary Grant look”
